Het volle, intense aromatische potentieel van de Sangiovese-druif komt in deze wijn duidelijk naar voren. Het aroma van rode kersen is onmiskenbaar, aangevuld met kruidige tonen zoals zoethout, een vleugje vanille en een subtiele hint van viooltjes. De wijn is vol van smaak met een zachte zuurgraad en goed geïntegreerde tannines.

Volgens de bekende wijnkenner James Suckling is deze Montepulciano fris en fruitig, met zuivere tonen van zwarte en rode bessen, aangevuld met nuances van pruimenschil en kruiden.
